INSTALLATION PROCEDURES

• Assemble the DISC-LOCK Nut and Tension Control Bolt into the connection hole and "finger-tighten" the DISC-LOCK Nut.

• Engage the twelve point spline ( located at the end of the bolt ) with the inner socket of the installation tool and push the installation tool so that the outer socket engages the DISC-LOCK Nut.

• Correct tension is achieved by simply pressing the trigger of the installation tool and holding the trigger down firmly. The outer socket rotates clockwise, tightening the nut. When the proper tension ( clamping force ) of the bolt has been reached, the twelve point spline will separate from the end of the bolt.

• Disengage the installation tool from the fastener and press the discharge lever to remove the spline from the inner socket.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Proper tensioning is visually inspected. Installation is complete and the proper tension achieved if the spline has separated from the bolt.
