Executive Summary

Alistair N. McKinlay
Mr. McKinlay was born in Alexandria, Scotland in 1930 and was educated at Vale of Leven Academy in Alexandria. In 1951, he immigrated to Canada to play football in the National League of Canada, where he played for Hamilton Westinghouse, British Imperials and Hamilton City. After a couple of years he decided to follow a career in the construction industry and rose to Vice President of national company, W.A. McDougall Ltd., London, Canada. In 1972, he formed his own business in partnership with Doug Lamon and Kevin Gordon.

In 1980, he invested in the DISC-LOCK Corporation, Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. and in 1982 became sole owner and President.

In 1988, he established DISC-LOCK Europe.

In 1992, he established DISC-LOCK Asia.

In 1994, Mr. McKinlay invented the DISC-LOCK Safety Wheel Nut which is now recognized as the most important innovation in wheel nut technology since the 1930's.

Mr. McKinlay is widely recognized in Canada as one of the leading authorities in the area of construction management for water and sewage treatment installations. During 26 years of specialized experience in the field, he has personally supervised and managed construction worth approximately ( Can ) $80 million, including the largest single contract ever awarded in Canada.

Mr. McKinlay is an Honours Graduate of the City & Guild of London Institute, London, England. He is a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, A.W.W.A., Canadian Institute of Pollution Control and the U.S. Pollution Control Federation. He was also recognized as the first C.C.S. in Ontario, Canada. He was Director of the Ontario General Contractors Association and the Hamilton General Contractors Association and past Chairman of the Labour Management Safety Committee.


Greg White
Mr. White was born in New Jersey, U.S.A. in 1954, and moved with his family in 1956 to Los Angeles, California, where he was raised.

In 1973, he was awarded a full athletic scholarship to the University of Southern California - U.S.C. - where he majored in Speech Communications from 1973 through 1977. During this time, he also played on the N.C.A.A. varsity basketball team, becoming one of the first Four-Year Letterman in the history of the University. After receiving USC's Most Valuable Player award in 1977, he was drafted into the National Basketball Association - N.B.A..

In the fall of 1977, Mr. White accepted a contract to play in the European Professional Basketball League where he went on to enjoy an eight year professional basketball career.

In 1985, Mr. White retired from professional basketball and joined the DISC-LOCK Corporation.

Working closely with commercial users as well as with prime contractors and military/government agencies in the U.S.A., Mr. White helped gain acceptance for the DISC-LOCK product with the U.S. Miltary and N.A.T.O.. Mr. White also helped develop newDISC-LOCK products during the expansion phase of the company.

His primary responsibilities are in the areas of Sales and Marketing but he is actively involved in prototype development and testing.

In 1993, Mr. White became a shareholder of the DISC-LOCK Corporation.
