Culver City, Calif. – December 18 , 2009 – DISC-LOCK International attended and exhibited at the Fastenal Employee Industrial & Construction Expo last week in Orlando, Florida.

            DISC-LOCK demonstrated the latest technology pertaining to our vibration-proof line of fastening solutions for industry. Of special interest was the new, DISC-LOCK manufactured shear wrench and fastening system (consisting of a Heavy Hex DISC-LOCK Nut and a Tension Control Bolt) which is an easy to install, vibration resistant fastening system used to secure parts that are subject to stress or shock.

            “This was our first large-scale meeting with Fastenal since partnering with their organization earlier this year,” said Alistair McKinlay, Chairman of DISC-LOCK International. “With 2,300+ store locations, the Fastenal community is expansive. This meeting gave us an opportunity to meet key Fastenal people and introduce DISC-LOCK products along with explaining our fastening technology solutions for industry,” added McKinlay.

            The Fastenal Employee Expo is designed for their employees to gain knowledge about various suppliers like DISC-LOCK and use that knowledge to help build their local or regional business and sales around the country.

            “An important element of our Fastenal exhibit was the presence of Rick Helm and Reggie Waugh. Rick and Reggie were able to meet many of the key Fastenal accounts they will be calling on,” said Greg White, Vice President of DISC-LOCK International.      

Rick has been with DISC-LOCK for several years and is a Sales Engineer. Reggie joined the DISC-LOCK team recently and is the Account Executive in charge of Military Sales and will also handle sales in related industries including; wind power, solar power, oil and gas and industrial OEMs.

            The DISC-LOCK exhibit booth featured new brochures of the entire product line, product samples and demonstrations. The booth was staffed by Alistair McKinlay, Greg White, Elaine McKinlay, Judy McKinlay, Rick Helm and Reggie Waugh.
